Empathy in Action:

Our second impactful endeavour took us to Gandhi Prem Nivas (Mother Teresa), an institution founded by Mother Teresa to care for those afflicted by leprosy. Here, we encountered the marginalized 'untouchables,' individuals living in the midst of poverty, disrespect, and societal exclusion due to their leprosy diagnosis. Devoting an entire day to a two-phased program, we engaged with a group of 100 individuals, spanning various age groups.
To enhance the well-being of the residents, we presented the authorities with a contribution of Rs. 10,000, along with a wheelchair, two crutches, and three walkers. Additionally, children were provided with exercise books, lozenges, cakes, and evening snacks for the elderly residents. The gesture was met with appreciation, and the authorities were pleased to honor us with a certificate in recognition of our efforts.
