Celebrating Joy with Elders

On August 15, 2023, Team Naivedyam brought joy to the residents of Ramakrishna Vriddhashram, an old-age home in Panihati, to celebrate both Independence Day and our organization's 3rd birthday. A full day was dedicated to spending meaningful moments with 60 elderly individuals, engaging in "gaane-golpe-aahare," or "talking-eating-singing" in English.

The activities included a free medical checkup conducted by our medical team. In the evening, residents participated in a cultural program organized by Naivedyam, where some showcased their talents through beautiful singing and recitations. Witnessing the happiness and joy on their faces was enchanting, leaving us feeling blessed. Though it was just one day, Naivedyam's efforts created a positive impact, offering a brief reprieve from the challenges these individuals face in their daily lives.
